How Does Turkesterone and Other Ecdysteroids Work to Help Build Muscle

How Does Turkesterone and Other Ecdysteroids Help Build Muscle

Turkesterone and Other Ecdysteroids are very similar to Testosterone in chemical nature, but act very differently in the body. Testosterone and SARM's bind to the Androgen receptors in the body and help spur muscle growth. This is the typical way that muscle is built in the body and is exactly why SARM's (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators) were created. SARM's were designed to selectively bind to the androgen receptors in order to help improve muscle wasting diseases as well as osteoporosis.

Up until a few years ago it was thought that in order to build muscle a compound would need to attach to the androgen receptors in the body. In fact when Turkesterone was first discovered, scientists were extremely excited to find a natural compound in nature that so closely resembled testosterone. However once they realized that Turkesterone did not bind to the androgen receptors, most studies stopped and they moved on.

What scientists did not realize at that time is that the human body has receptors for Turkesterone and other plant and insect steroids. Why the human body has receptors for insect and plant Ecdysteroids, we have no idea. But they do and this is why Turkesterone and other Ecdysteroids may help promote muscle growth and offer and extremely low if any side effect profile.

It wasn't until scientists and researchers look at protein synthesis instead of Androgen Receptor affinity, they realized how Turkesterone and other Ecdysteroids were able to help build muscle and strength. If scientists only looked at if Creatine had an affinity for binding with androgen receptors, they may have come to the conclusion that Creatine would not help build muscle.

Scientists discovered that Turkesterone was a potent Estrogen receptor β agonist and increased protein synthesis in the muscle through an entirely different way the typical anabolic compounds like testosterone.

In a study on rats given Ecdysteroids - here is what the study said - In male rats, Ecdy treatment increased muscle fiber size, serum IGF-1 increased, and corticosterone and 17β-estradiol (E2) decreased. In differentiated C2C12 myoblastoma cells, treatment with Ecdy, dihydrotestosterone, IGF-1 but also E2 results in hypertrophy.

This study showed that in rats treated with Ecdysteroids, there muscle fiber size was increased and well as their IGF-1 (Insulin Like Growth Factor) increased. While this alone was a marvelous discovery, the fact that Ecdysteroids like Turkesterone also lowered Estradiol and Corticosterone was also a very interesting discovery.

As more and more studies come out in the next few years showing that Turkesterone and other Ecdysteroids are viable supplements to help build muscle with almost zero side effects. We feel that Turkesterone will be the second Creatine that has become a staple in the fitness industry and that almost everyone takes.

One last thing is that World Anti Doping Agency has put Turkesterone and other Ecdysteroids on their watch list. This basically means that they believe it gives athletes an advantage and will most likely ban it from athletic competitions very soon. But luckily for you, as long as your not a tested athlete you can use all the Turkesterone you want and utilize all of it's muscle building proerties!
